14 DAY TRIAL // Romain Jantot, the pilot of a light aircraft taking off from the Kourou airport in the French Guiana, had the biggest surprise ever when, shortly after getting the plane in the air, he noticed a cat clinging on for dear life on the side of the aircraft, on the wing.
He posted the video of the strange incident on YouTube and it’s gone viral since. Jantot assures viewers that the cat is fine after the once-in-a-lifetime ride and that it’s still the club mascot. It does not have a name yet, but perhaps “Mr. / Mrs. Fearless” would be an appropriate suggestion.
The amount of chill on that pussy is absolutely impressive.
As you can see in the video, the pilot and a female passenger started the ride with the usual sense of anticipation. They were clearly not even thinking that they would have to cut the flight short to rescue a furry stowaway, who somehow got through the routine checkup.
The video shows Jantot noticing the cat but not reacting in any other way but by trying to keep the plane straight. By this time, it’s clear that the cat is clinging with its front paws to the wing, where it remains for the remainder of the ride, which Jantot made sure was short.
He brought the plane back down and the cat to safety, much to the amusement of the female passenger. The cat bounced on the ground shortly after it realized it was safe to do so.
