14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this year, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart staged a breakup, claiming to have ended their 2 and a half-year relationship so they would appear more appealing to the public with their new projects. They got back together shortly after the promo tours were over, and are together as we speak.
Few believed that Casper, a former backup dancer advanced to tour choreographer and celebrity by association in the years he’s been dating JLo, would last longer than any other rebound guy she’s had. However, it seems that his mind is on growing old with her.
Casper won’t stop proposing
A recent report in Life & Style magazine says that Casper is practically begging Jennifer to marry him at this point, and she’s starting to get tired of having to shut him down every time.
Since marriage hasn’t proved to be the happy ending Jennifer, always the romantic, is dreaming for her, she’s probably thinking she’d have a better shot at it without the vows and all that.
“Jen finally snapped at Casper by ordering him to stop proposing because she’s sick and tired of saying no,” an insider tells the publication. “He’s probably asked her at least five times this year alone!”
And we’re still 4 months till the end of the year, so if Casper wants to keep pushing the marriage proposal, he has time to maybe squeeze in a couple more.
All jokes aside, there’s an older rumor that claims that Jennifer has already made up her mind to marry her much younger beau, and that they’re planning a fairytale wedding for December 2015.
Casper is in it for the money
When Jennifer started dating a backup dancer who’s almost half her age, and as soon as people noticed the influence she had on his lifestyle (speaking strictly from a materialistic perspective), talk of how Casper was in it only for the money and the fame began.
There’s no denying that he’s living the sweet life as Lopez’s man, from the professional opportunities he suddenly gets to the expensive gifts she showers him with, whether they’re cars, designer clothes or super-expensive jewelry.
At one point, word on the street even had it that he was on a monthly allowance, from which he was required to spend nothing on date nights or presents for Jennifer.
If any of that is true, no wonder he’d be itching to marry her, because this way, he could make sure he’d enjoy the same privileges for a while longer. Again, if these things are true, it’s not surprising to hear that Jennifer doesn’t like the idea; as per her own admission, she’s a sucker in love, but she’s a fierce businesswoman, so she’d never allow this to happen.
