Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is shaping up to be one of the most important launches in the history of the franchise and the developers working on it at Treyarch believe that the shooter has benefited a lot from the fact that it is created from the ground up with a focus on the more powerful hardware that both the PC and home consoles currently deliver.

David Vonderharr, the design director, working on the game, explains that more power means that the studio has the space to improve various features without making compromises anywhere else.

For Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, the developers are seeking to deliver a new take on the engine that shows how lighting can improve the overall experience.

There are also improvements to the user experience, the Artificial Intelligence that powers the enemies and how gamers interact with their characters.

Vonderhaar tells DualShockers that, "When you go to a new console generation you have to go and make sure that you’re working hard to take advantage of the new graphics capabilities of the next generation. That’s what this team had the graphics engine torn apart for a while, to make sure that we can get all that beautifulness out of it, get all of the high poly stuff, get all of the shadows, and get all the lighting, and still run at sixty."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is being tweaked after the beta

The testing period was offered on all platforms the game will be available on, and gamers got to play a range of modes on a trio of maps.

The focus was on showing the community how the movement system of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be used to significantly change the multiplayer experience, which is now more focused on using the levels to surprise enemies.

The new title also introduces Specialists for the first time, each of them able to use either a cool weapon or a unique ability.

The new Treyarch experience will also have a solid single-player campaign and a Shadows of Evil cooperative story that takes gamers to a noir version of the '40s.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be out on November 6 on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, and lesser versions of the title will also be delivered on older home consoles.
