Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 aims to explore the way the evolution of technology will transform soldiers of the future into hybrids of humanity and machine, and the most recent video for the shooter shows gamers the Chaos Cybercore abilities and how they can be used in order to sow confusion among enemies.

The development team at Treyarch explains that gamers will be able to make sure the opponents are unable to coordinate and focus on the player character in the single-player campaign when they are affected by an electronic strike melee move, range emulation powers and the swarm attack.

All the Chaos Cybercore abilities in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 look pretty cool, and it will be interesting to see whether the development team gives gamers opportunities to use them organically or will simply create set-pieces where gamers need to use one of the abilities to make progress.

The single-player campaign of the shooter takes place in 2065 and focuses on the way special forces soldiers, enhanced both genetically and technologically, can rule the battlefield against superior enemy numbers.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has recently received a story trailer that offers more details on the narrative, which Treyarch promises will be more engaging than in previous installments and will ask the player to make some tough choices.

The core of the series remains linked to the multiplayer modes

Gamers who like cooperative action will be able to play a Shadows of Evil campaign, which allows up to four players to inhabit new characters in a noir version of the '40s, mixing their abilities in order to stop the assault of a variety of new undead enemies.

For more competitive-minded fans, Treyarch is introducing more customization options and the new Specialists, while also enhancing the movement system for all characters, which becomes very important on the new vertically layered maps.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be launched on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC on November 6 of this year, and gamers can also get it on older home consoles, although those will not feature the single-player campaign.
