The development team at Treyarch, publisher Activision and platform holder Sony are announcing that they are extending the PlayStation 4 multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 until 10 PM Pacific Standard Time on Monday, August 24.

This means that gamers have one more full day to experience the new mechanics and get to see all the content that the companies are offering.

The information is coming from the official Twitter account of Treyarch, and it seems that the decision has been made because of the pressure coming from fans who want to enjoy the experience for a longer period.

The developers are also planning to deliver an increase in terms of level cap for all characters to 49, which means that gamers will have more options to unlock new content and use it in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

The multiplayer testing period for the first-person shooter started on August 19 and allowed gamers to explore a variety of modes on three maps, using eight of the newly introduced Specialists.

Since then, Treyarch has added the Uplink experience, which introduces some eSports elements, and the Stronghold map.

The company is saying that data gathered from matches and the feedback offered by the community will be offered to improve the overall experience before the full launch takes place.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is also coming in beta form to the Xbox One and the PC

The testing period for the other platforms is scheduled to start on August 26 and should also run until late on Sunday.

Treyarch and Activision have not made it clear whether the content that was added during the beta on the PS4 will also be coming to the other two devices.

Presumably, they will also deliver them on Thursday or Friday and an extra day will be announced over the weekend, to make sure that no platform fan is disappointed.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be out on November 6 on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 while those who want to play it on older consoles will need to get the Legacy version, which will be missing some mechanics.
