The development team at Treyarch is offering a Nuk3town-focused weekend for fans of the first-person shooter, with a playlist that will allow players to get extra rewards as long as they are playing the classic map and with the clear intention of introducing a teaser for the coming reveal associated with the new Infinite Warfare title.

At the end of every match, gamers will be able to see a massive ship appearing in the sky above the map, which suggests that rumors about a futuristic setting are accurate, and a full skull logo can also be seen floating around, teasing a reveal for the new Call of Duty.

The line "Nuk3town offline" is also shown to get the fan base excited about the coming announcement associated with Infinite Warfare and the unique universe that Infinity Ward is aiming to create.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 playlist will run until Monday, May 2, at 10 AM Pacific Standard Time, and sources are saying that Activision and Infinity Ward will talk about the new shooter at some point on May 3.

It seems that the two companies will only offer the most basic of details at first, including a name and a setting, and will deliver a closer look at the multiplayer action during June, at the E3 2016 event in Los Angeles.

Infinite Warfare will come with a remake of Modern Warfare

Rumors about the new video game are saying that it will take place in the far future and will not have a connection to storylines in any previous installments but will allow gamers to engage in some space-based battles while spending time between missions in a space station.

According to leaked images associated with the new Call of Duty, the plan is to create a Legacy Edition for the video game that will include a remastered version of the classic Modern Warfare, with the entire campaign updated for the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft.

The worrying thing is that only 10 of the 16 associated multiplayer maps will be remade, and it's unclear which of them have been chosen.

The leak shows that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be launched on November 4 of this year on both home consoles and the PC.

Until then, gamers will get access to two extra downloadable content packs for the already available Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
