14 DAY TRIAL // Treyarch's dedicated PC team confirms a suite of brand new features that will be present in the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 when it launches this November, not to mention a set of minimum PC specifications. Last but not least, a set of screenshots show off impressive visuals.
Last year's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare surprised PC users through a pretty solid support of the platform, and with the upcoming Black Ops 3, developer Treyarch wants to once again show just how much it appreciates the PC by adding even more great features.
Black Ops 3 has plenty of impressive PC features
At Gamescom 2015, besides sharing details concerning the eSports side of Black Ops 3, Treyarch confirms on its website the array of new features that will be present in the PC version of the new first-person shooter.
According to the studio, both the dedicated PC team and the rest of the staff want to ensure that Black Ops 3 plays as well as possible on all platforms, while taking advantage of the PC's increased power for more features.
Black Ops 3 will have dedicated servers for its ranked matches, not to mention two-player split-screen. The title also comes with "seamless" game controller support, better text chat available in-game, as well as in the lobbies.
The new shooter also comes with support for powerful graphics cards, not to mention those set up in SLI or Crossfire configurations. What's more, PC users with 4K resolution monitors can enjoy a customized experienced.
Those who like to tinker with certain settings can enjoy a field-of-view slider and a framerate cap slider. Black Ops 3 also comes with Treyarch's own Anti-Cheat system, as well as Steam Trading Cards.
Minimum PC hardware requirements are also finalized
While the game still has a few months to go before its November debut, Treyarch confirms that it's already nailed down the minimum PC specifications. These include 64-bit operating systems starting with Windows 7, and continuing with 6GB of RAM, a modern graphics card as well as a CPU.
