The development team at Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are continuing to deliver new content for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and on August 25 gamers will be able to pick up a range of new weapons to use in multiplayer, including an entirely new set of Royalty Variants.

The official announcement explains that the community will be able to get the classic AK47, designed to offer an option for those who want to deliver massive damage at medium range, although the recoil might pose some problems.

The American M16 is also being added to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, with more damage than the ARX-160 and a longer delay between bursts.

Sledgehammer Games states, "Like the AK47, the M16’s base weapon will be unlocked for use in Create a Class once you receive a variant in a Supply Drop or Advanced Supply Drop. Be on the lookout for the stats of the five unique variants when they release on Xbox One next week!"

The CEL-3, which was offered initially in the Exo Zombies mode, is also coming to multiplayer, a direct energy automatic shotgun that delivers a lot of damage but has a slight delay between the first and the second shot.

Final set of Royalty Variants also coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

The development team says the new set is designed to offer an increase in range, which many gamers will find useful on some of the multiplayer maps.

Gamers will be able to get them in both normal and Advanced Supply Drops.

All the new weapons are only offered on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare because older consoles no longer have the memory required to get new content.

It seems very likely that this is the final major content drop for the shooter.

Sledgehammer Games has recently announced that on September 4 it will offer the final piece of DLC for the shooter to all those who are playing on the PC and the PlayStation 4.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is at the moment set to arrive on November 6, developed by Treyarch and offering three separate core experiences: campaign, cooperative Shadows of Evil zombie experience, and competitive multiplayer.
