Video game developer Bungie has delivered a new live stream for the coming The Taken King expansion for Destiny, and the focus is on one of the new strikes that gamers will be able to deal with, named Shield Brothers.

Those fans who want to get all the details on the coming content need to rewatch the Twitch stream that the studio has used to show quite a bit of gameplay linked to the new content.

Shield Brothers will be opened up to all those who are level 36 and takes Destiny fans deep inside the new dreadnought area, where they will have to stop the mustering process for a major Cabal invasion and deal with two of its commanders, named Valus Tlu’ur and Valus Mau’ual, who will coordinate their abilities in order to try and stop players.

The developers are saying that the pair has a set of abilities that will make them a hard target even for seasoned Destiny fans.

The new Strike is designed to show off the philosophy that Bungie is using when creating all the new content that is included in The Taken King.

Destiny will evolve in its second year

Bungie says that it wants The Taken King to introduce more new content and tweaks to the core mechanics than the two previous expansions for the social shooter taken together.

The studio says that the various encounters that will be included in strikes will have different setups depending on the player group that encounters them, and the dialog will also evolve in new ways.

The rewards that gamers will get in The Taken King are also more varied than before, and Bungie wants to offer gamers tokens that will clearly show which of the new challenges they managed to overcome.

The studio is aiming to make sure that strikes do not become boring even for gamers who run them multiple times in one day and that there are clear rules that govern the delivery of new gear.

The new bosses will also be more challenging than those Destiny players have faced until now.

The Taken King will focus on Oryx, the new threat that gamers will be able to vanquish in the big new six main raid.

The expansion will be offered for all platform on which Destiny is available on September 15.
