The next big release in terms of high-end smartphones is the Samsung Galaxy S10, which according to various reports that made the rounds lately, is likely to hit the market in three different versions.

Mobile leakster Ben Geskin claims the budget model will be available for between $650 and $750, and it would feature a flat Infinity O display.

Samsung not going for a curved panel isn’t new, and this alleged fresh leak corroborates all reports indicating that the company is very likely to use a flat display for the cheapest S10. However, using the Infinity O display on this particular model is one essential tidbit, as it would allow the South Korean firm to embed parts like the front-facing camera right in the display.

However, the base Galaxy S10 configuration wouldn’t boast a fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen, as the overall costs would increase substantially.

What Samsung plans to do according to the leakster is move the fingerprint reader from the back, as it currently is on the Galaxy S9, to the side of the phone. The company has already tried this approach on a series of models, including the A7 2018.

The main camera will be a dual-lens configuration, while the top-of-the-range Galaxy S10 will use three different cameras on the back.

Interestingly, Samsung may offer the base Galaxy S10 model with a Snapdragon 845 chip, the same as on the Galaxy S9, or with the Exynos 8150 processor.

There will be three different configurations, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage – the most affordable in the entire lineup – and two with 6GB RAM and boasting either 64GB or 128GB storage.

The launch of the phone could take place in late January or early February, and given that we’re approaching this date, expect more information and leaks to make the rounds in the coming weeks.
