14 DAY TRIAL // In June this year, Pop Princess Britney Spears had been dating TV producer Charlie Ebersol for about 8 months when all mentions and photos of him suddenly disappeared from her social media accounts. News broke afterwards - and was immediately confirmed by Britney - that they had broken up.
Rumor has it that he might have cheated on her or that he openly refused to commit to anything more serious when asked if he thought the relationship had a future. Whatever he did, he made Britney angry enough to erase him from her memory altogether.
Pop Princess Britney is now the Queen of Sass
As you probably know, Britney is still performing in Las Vegas, as part of her insanely successful residency. She’s also working on a new album, while considering whether to renew the residency, but most of her time is dedicated to the performances and rehearsals.
She’s also been working on her sassiness, as the video below will confirm: Britney is not the kind to discuss about her personal life in public anymore, not after how badly she got burned by the media in the aftermath of the Kevin Federline divorce, but she’s not beneath throwing some shade when she wants.
“Being single for a year has been very, very, very profound,” Britney told the audience after she performed “Slave 4 U,” as she was getting ready for “Freakshow,” which includes a segment in which she brings a fan up on stage, to include in a bondage-type moment. “And I feel like all men should suck my toe,” she added.
Seeing how she’d been dating Charlie for 8 months in June when they broke, Britney couldn’t have been single for a year. So unless she completely forgot she had a boyfriend for so many months, she’s shading him by refusing to acknowledge he ever existed.
So yes, chances are he did something really bad to upset her this way.
Britney’s track record with men isn’t that great
Whatever Charlie did, it must have been worse than what the previous boyfriend did: in 2014, a few months after Britney went on record to say that she “loved” the new man in her life, David Lucado, he got caught on camera picking up randoms in a bar with the intention to cheat.
She would later say, also on stage in Vegas, that she was heartbroken to learn that all men cheat, but the rumor is that Lucado came thisclose to being involved in a major scandal.
Apparently, the incriminating footage emerged only some time after the fact, when someone started shopping it around to the tabloids. Britney’s father and conservator stepped in to set things straight: he informed Lucado he would never see his daughter again and made sure to pack all his stuff, and he also went to the seller of the footage and purchased it before anyone else could bid for it.
As it turns out, Britney only found out about the breakup after Lucado was entirely shut out of her life.
