The phones’ dimensions have also leaked

The new Nexus smartphones are back in the news. While most of the internal specifications of the phones have made their way online via various leaks, there are still a few details that need some settling.

And hopefully, the two new tweets coming out of @OnLeaks will clarify them. So far we’ve been telling you that the Huawei Nexus will be the higher-end affair, but as it appears at the moment, the LG-made Nexus 5 (2015) will be pretty premium as well.

According to the current information, the Huawei Nexus is expected to arrive with a metal body and a 5.7-inch display, something that we already knew. However, the leakster is providing us with the measurements of the phone, which are 159.4 x 78.3 x 6.6/8.5 mm. Furthermore, we’re told the device will boast front-facing speakers, a fingerprint sensor, and will take advantage of a USB Type-C.

As for the LG Nexus 5 (2015), the handset is expected to be a little chunkier, with dimensions situated along these lines: 146.9 x 72.9 x 8/9.8mm. The phone might make a debut with a 5.2-inch display, metal body, and the same front-facing speakers, fingerprint sensor on the back, and USB Type-C.

Both Nexus models poised to boast a metal build this year

While there’s no mention of processors and resolution here, previous leaks would have us believe the Nexus 5 would boast a full HD display with 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution), and a yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 620 (MSM8976) processor under the hood in combination with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The device should also make use of a 13MP main snapper with IMX278 RGBW sensor, a 6-element f/1.8 aperture lens, OIS, laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash.

The Huawei Nexus, on the other hand, will offer QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and the services of the Snapdragon 810 processor (although the Snapdragon 820 was rumored at some point). The phone should also take advantage of the services of a 21MP camera with IMX230 sensor plus Rezence/WiPower wireless charging.

So, are you excited to see the new Nexus phones make an appearance?
