Gearbox Software and 2K Australia, the two developers behind the upcoming Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, are going to include among the different DLC packs already confirmed for the game a special add-on that includes a playable version of Handsome Jack, the antagonist in Borderlands 2 and one of the key characters in The Pre-Sequel.

The Borderlands saga has impressed not just through its pretty great first-person shooter mechanics and the great blend with role-playing dungeon crawling systems, but also through its hilarious universe in which all sorts of crazy things happen.

For Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, franchise founder Gearbox has tasked 2K Australia with coming up with a story that spans Borderlands 1 and 2 and charts the rise to power of Handsome Jack.

While four different characters are included in the base game, Gearbox and 2K have already confirmed that new adventures and playable characters are going to appear after launch.

Now, according to GameSpot, one of the new characters includes Handsome Jack, or more specifically a clone of his, which is going to be playable once the actual expansion appears.

As of yet, no other details were given, so it's unclear just how Handsome Jack plays in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

The actual game launches this October for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
