Bodhi Linux developer and maintainer Jeff Hoogland is proud to announce the release of the Bodhi Linux 3.2.0 operating system, based on the Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS Linux distribution.

According to the release notes, Bodhi Linux 3.2.0 has been released mainly to promote the Enlightenment-based Moksha Desktop 0.2.0 desktop environment, which makes Bodhi unique and popular with the Linux community. It's powered by Ubuntu 15.10's Linux 4.2 kernel and adds some much-needed UEFI improvements.

Moreover, the Radiance theme has received a bunch of small improvements and bug fixes, multi-language support has been re-implemented in the installer, and the latest LibreOffice 5.1 open-source office suite has been added in the AppPack releases. As usual, the repositories have been synchronized with the upstream ones as of March 30, 2016.

"Today I am happy to announce that we successfully met two of the first three. While some work related commitments prevented me from getting a Swami release out on time, we did successfully release version 0.2.0 of the Moksha desktop, and today I bring to you version 3.2.0 of Bodhi Linux," says Jeff Hoogland.

Bodhi Linux 4.0.0 coming in August 2016, based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Bodhi Linux 3.2.0 comes as an upgrade for the previous stable release, version 3.1.x, bringing all the goodies from the upstream Trusty Tahr repos, which have proven to be stable, reliable and all that. Existing Bodhi users don't need to download anything, just make sure you have all the latest updates and security patches applied.

Bodhi Linux 3.2.0 is the last one in the 3.x series of the distribution, and the next major release, Bodhi Linux 4.0.0, will be available in August 2016, as promised, built on top of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus). But until then, you can download the Bodhi Linux 3.2.0 Live ISO images for 64-bit and 32-bit systems right now via our website.
