14 DAY TRIAL // The Houstons and the Browns never got along well, especially after Whitney Houston’s 2012 death, when her family blamed ex-husband Bobby Brown for introducing her to the drugs that would end up taking her life. The death of Whitney’s only child with Bobby, Bobbi Kristina, aka Krissi, hasn’t managed to bring the 2 families together either.
Krissi has been laid to rest next to her mother, and the family came together for the funeral, put together by Bobby Brown, Krissi’s father, and Pat Houston, her aunt. Unsurprisingly, it turned into a circus when Leolah Brown, Bobby Brown’s sister and Krissi’s aunt, arrived on the scene.
Leolah goes after Pat, is escorted out
As you can see in the video below, Leolah was very angry about something at the funeral and it had nothing to do with the fact that she was supposed to be grieving for her beloved Krissi.
She and Pat have been feuding for a very long time, and just days before the funeral, she had accused Pat of trying to line her own pockets by requesting donations to her charitable foundation instead of flowers for Krissi.
So, when Pat got up to speak at the funeral, Leolah reportedly started yelling at her “Pat you know you are wrong for this!” TMZ informs.
Leolah has never made a secret of her theory of Pat’s involvement in both Whitney’s and Krissi’s death. She also blames Nick Gordon, Krissi’s boyfriend, for what happened to her niece.
Tyler Perry, who is a close member of the family and was working with Krissi on making her debut in acting, escorted Leolah outside. Once here, she made her way directly to the waiting paparazzi and started making threats about how she had proof that would “expose” Pat for who she was, and how Pat would be “haunted” by the ghosts of Whitney and Krissi.
Leolah is “crazy”
That Leolah is determined to kick up a storm in the media is very clear from her own “statement,” in which she promises she will be doing interviews very soon, to have her story out there.
She believes Pat “murdered” Whitney and now Krissi, with help from Nick Gordon, so she could get control of Whitney’s money. Because Krissi, who had inherited it, is now dead as well, the money will be divided between family members.
However, Bobby Brown will not get a dime of it because he isn’t Whitney’s husband anymore, so that means that all hope Leolah had of getting some is completely lost. This would explain why she’s so determined to make a scandal.
The other possibility would be that she’s “crazy,” as Meeta Brown, Krissi’s cousin, told TMZ photographers after the funeral. According to Meeta, who was very close to Krissi and even calls her her “sister,” the Houstons and the Browns get along just fine and are together in their mourning over the loss of someone they loved.
The only one who doesn’t fit in this picture is Leolah, who is “crazy.”
Bobbi Kristina was 22 and died after spending 6 months in a coma, after she was found face-down in the bathtub. Paramedics managed to revive her, but she was left with severe brain damage. In a very strange twist of fate, her mother Whitney died in similar circumstances in 2012.
