Only a few days after Bobbi Kristina Brown, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s 22-year-old daughter, was laid to rest, a photo of her on her deathbed has been published on the cover of a major tabloid. It sits side by side to Whitney’s last photo, snapped at her funeral in 2012 without permission from the family.

This is the photo that went up for sale to the highest bidder in June, shortly after Krissi was moved into hospice care after nearly 6 months of being in a coma. She was found face-down in the bathtub in January, was revived on the spot, but was put in a medically induced coma upon arrival to the hospital.

She was deprived of oxygen for too long and suffered severe brain damage as a result. Doctors never managed to bring her out of the coma in the following months.

Hospice photo was sold, after all

In June, the family confirmed that someone had snapped a photo of Krissi on “her deathbed” in the hospice, with subsequent reports saying that bidding was high for rights to it.

There was even one report that said that The National Enquirer bought it for upwards of $100,000 (€91,720), but as weeks went by and they didn’t publish it, it was eventually ruled out as inaccurate. The Enquirer wouldn’t sit on this photo if they had it for this long, it was said.

Apparently, the tab was more or less waiting for Krissi to die, because they just published it, the Daily Mail reports.

“The August 17 issue of the National Enquirer, currently out on newsstands, also features chilling images in which an actress recreates the scene inside Bobbi Kristina's bathroom when she was found lying face down in her tub,” the publication says.

The cover also includes the 2012 Whitney Houston death photo, which the Enquirer bought from a member of the family who took a camera inside the funeral.

There’s still one more photo to come

This deathbed photo isn’t the end, though. Reports said this week that the Houstons and the Browns were fighting again because they’d heard someone had snapped a pic of Krissi in her casket, which they were shopping to the tabloids.

Both families blamed each other, and neither would even consider the possibility of an inside mole, selling them out to the media in their darkest, most troubled times.

It is believed The Enquirer bought this one too, for about the same amount of money as the first one. If that’s the case, they will probably run it in the weeks to come.
