14 DAY TRIAL // The other day, rumor emerged that someone, presumably a member of the extended Houston - Brown family, was shopping photos of Bobbi Kristina Brown, on her death bed in hospice care. Several media outlets reported having been offered the pics but turning them down.
Fresh unconfirmed reports claim that the photo or photos have now been sold. Entertainment Tonight, one of the media outlets to admit having seen them after being approached with the offer, says that the asking price was of $100,000 (€89,976), so chances are this is also the selling price.
Family member betrays trust
Bobbi Kristina (or Krissi, for short) has been in hospital since January 31, after a near-drowning accident in her Georgia home, which caused severe brain damage. She was put in a medically induced coma the moment she arrived at the hospital, but she had been deprived of oxygen for far too long for doctors to be able to do anything to improve her condition.
Just recently, the family accepted the initial diagnosis and agreed to have her off life support and medication. She was also moved into hospice care, where she would “die peacefully” surrounded by all those who loved her best.
This is where said photo or photos were snapped. Apparently, they show Krissi lying on her bed, while a female relative is watching over her. Another member of the family took the photo and proceeded to make arrangements to monetize on it.
Rumor has it that the buyer is The National Enquirer, which should probably not come as a huge surprise. Not only did they make public photos of Whitney Houston in her coffin, but just in their most recent issue, they ran a photo recreation of a dying Krissi in hospital.
The family is upset, will find whoever is responsible
Leolah Brown, Krissi’s aunt, tells TMZ that the entire family is shocked and heartbroken over this breach of trust and privacy, especially at such a delicate time. However, she adds, they are also determined to find out who’s responsible.
“You aint gon be able to pay people off on this one! You will not do to my niece what you did to Whitney!” she says for the celebrity e-zine. “I will make sure that anyone who came anywhere near Bobbi Kriss - including myself, take a lie detective test!”
For the time being, Leolah is the only family member to address the photo leak. Krissi’s other aunt, Pat Houston, and her grandmother, Cissy, have not said anything on the topic, and knowing them, they probably won’t.
