A few days ago, we showed you yet another image depicting the upcoming BlackBerry Android Slider device, which will supposedly get unveiled sometimes in November.

According to information circling online, the Venice has already been confirmed to arrive at several major carriers in the United States such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.

On top of that, BlackBerry might also be prepping an Android version of the BlackBerry Passport smartphone, which should make a debut with a 4.5-inch square display and dedicated keyboard under the screen.

The latest tidbit coming out of Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, reveals that the upcoming BlackBerry Venice will feature a bunch of BB apps for Android including Contact, Calendar, Messenger, Keyboard, Task and Note apps.

Users will also find that the smartphone features support for an Android version of BlackBerry Productivity Suite which includes BlackBerry Hub (a service that allows owners to access email, social networks and other communication app all via one single, central platform), BlackBerry Calendar, BlackBerry Contacts, Documents on the Go, and Universal Search.

BlackBerry's Android phones will still rely a lot on BB software

Future Android handsets coming out of Blackberry might also be bundled with BlackBerry Communication Suite and BlackBerry Security Suite when they make a debut into the wild.

@evleaks reveals this is the case by sharing a GIF that shows BlackBerry Productivity Suite running on the upcoming Venice slider. The leak seems to suggest that BlackBerry will be embedding a lot of BlackBerry 10 features into its Android skin.

As Evan Blass himself notes, the Venice will not be a stock Android phone, so if you are looking for that, you should probably wait for Google’s upcoming Nexus phones to appear later this year.

One should be thinking of Venice in different terms, as the phone will most likely run a BlackBerry 10-based UI on top of Android. Something in the vein of Samsung and its TouchWiz interface. Only that BlackBerry’s will put a focus on productivity.
