BlackBerry has already confirmed the Priv, its first Android-powered smartphone, so now it tries to lure customers with details on what the device has to offer.

We reported over the weekend on the changes BlackBerry made to Android so that the Priv should be the most secure smartphone powered by this operating system.

Those were only some of the under-the-hood improvements BlackBerry made, but the Canadian company promised to offer more details on the Priv's privacy and security features.

BlackBerry Priv is supposed to be launched sometime in November, but if you want to pre-order the smartphone now, you can do that via UK-based retailer Carphone Warehouse.

Get it on contract or outright

Carphones Warehouse is now offering the BlackBerry Priv for no less than £580 (€790 / $895), which is quite high considering the price of other flagship smartphones available on the market.

The good news is that customers can also grab the BlackBerry Priv for free on 24-month contracts at EE and Vodafone, from £48 per month.

It's also worth mentioning that Carphone Warehouse states that BlackBerry Priv shipping will commence on November 6, but that date is subject to change. The Priv is available in black color only.

The UK retailer confirms once again some of the specs included in the Priv, such as the 5.4-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, the slide out keyboard and the 3,410 mAh battery.

Also, BlackBerry Priv has been confirmed to pack a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of AM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card slot.

If you're not sure you're going to like the Priv when it comes to design, BlackBerry has already released the first official video showing the smartphone in action. You can check it out below.
