Not long ago, BlackBerry released the DTEK50 mid-range smartphone running Android OS, and the company is expected to introduce a few more BlackBerry smartphones in the coming months. It seems that the upcoming BlackBerry DTEK60 has leaked in new images over at WinFuture.

BlackBerry DTEK60, also known as Argon, will be a high-end smartphone and the third Android-running device from BlackBerry, after the DTEK50 and Priv. The leaked press photos show the smartphone from all sides, revealing a more polished design compared to the DTEK50. However, the two devices are quite similar and both come with rounded edges and curved sides.

TCL is the manufacturer of both devices, and the company also produces Alcatel smartphones. In fact, the DTEK50 was actually a rebranded Alcatel Idol 4, while the DTEK60 will be a variant of the Idol 4s with USB Type-C port instead of micro USB.

As the images show, the DTEK60 won't be featuring a QWERTY keyboard and the Convenience key returns to this model. Aside from this, it will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.

DTEK60 might feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 Soc

Specs of the upcoming DTEK60 have leaked online, pointing towards a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The device could also come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

Rear camera capacity might reach 21MP, with an 8MP camera in the front for video calls and selfies. The smartphone will carry a 3,000mAh battery, enough to keep its lights on for a reasonable amount of time. The DTEK60 might be the first BlackBerry smartphone to come with a fingerprint scanner located on the back of the phone, below the rear camera.

The smartphone recently received approval from the FCC and the Wi-Fi Alliance. The DTEK60 could be released as soon as October 11 in Canada for an estimated price of about $530. The smartphone might be announced in the US at about the same time.
