BlackBerry has yet to announce its latest smartphone, the DTEK60, but it seems that the device was already available for pre-order at a store in New York, USA. Last week, the smartphone was made available for pre-orders in Canada via B&H, but the retailer later took down the page.

BlackBerry didn’t announce the DTEK60 yet, but the company did accidentally leak specs of the upcoming smartphone on its website. Pre-orders for the smartphone had been live at B&H for several hours, before the retailer took the page down. The phone carried a price of $499.99 unlocked and supported GSM-based carrier networks. This means that it can’t be used on Verizon or Sprint networks.

B&H offered customers of pre-ordered DTEK60 phones a rapid travel charger and a black soft shell case for free. The two items combined cost approximately $49.98. Full specs for the phone were also leaked, thus confirming previous rumors.

The DTEK60 could be announced on October 17, pre-orders should start soon afterward

The retailer didn’t mention when the phone would start shipping, which isn’t out of the ordinary considering that the DTEK60 has yet to receive an official announcement. Rumors say that the smartphone could be unveiled on October 17, but that remains to be seen.

The leak did show images of the upcoming phone, together with a full list of specs. The DTEK60 will be coming with a 5.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, an impressive 21MP rear camera, an 8MP selfie camera and a 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone will run Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable memory, according to Phandroid.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will run out of the box on the upcoming smartphone, which will also have Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 feature for the battery.

It would be interesting to know if and how many orders B&H received before taking the listing down. Most likely the retailer has notified customers that their order would be processed as soon as the phone is officially announced. Because of Yom Kippur holiday, B&H physical store is currently closed and the retailer isn’t accepting any orders on its website until Wednesday 7:45 pm ET on Wednesday, October 12.
