We have recently seen plenty of rumors circling online prophesizing the advent of a BlackBerry device running Android out of the box, which got a lot of people excited.

Still, some of you might have forgotten that some other unannounced BlackBerry models have made their way online these days, like the BlackBerry Oslo. We told you about the Oslo in April for the first time, but since then, it has become apparent that the phone is internally known as the Dallas or SQW100-4.

And according to the latest information coming out of CrackBerry, the phone has just received certification in Singapore via IDA and Malaysia via e-CoM, meaning it’s one step closer to being unveiled.

Previous Dallas rumors claimed that the device would actually be a different Passport version that will end up being sold on the Chinese market. Then we heard a slightly different story claiming that the Dallas would be an exclusive T-Mobile device. At some point, it was even speculated that the phone might make a debut on the market as a Porsche Design premium smartphone.

The BlackBerry Dallas remains an elusive device

But at this point, it remains pretty unclear where exactly the Dallas will end up being launched. We’ll just have to wait and see what BlackBerry decides to do in the end.

Whatever scenario becomes reality, the BlackBerry Dallas will arrive with a display resembling the one on the Passport. We don’t yet know its size, but if the phone copies the Passport, the phone will don a display of 4.5-inch variety with 1440 x 1400 pixel resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.

The power source of the phone is expected to be a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor working with Adreno 330 graphics and 3GB of RAM.

The Oslo also comes with a 32GB of internal storage, but there’s no info whether we’re going to see a miroSD on board or not.

The phone is equipped with a 13MP rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization), and full HD (1080p) video recording at 60fps.

In the software department, we can tell you that the Dallas is expected to arrive with OS 10.3.2 (Gold Candidate version 10.3.2.2150).
