14 DAY TRIAL // The nanny cheating scandal Ben Affleck found himself embroiled in earlier this week has just reached new, huge proportions: according to a new report, Christine Ouzounian, the 22-year-old California native who went from nanny to lover to current tabloid fixture, thought she and Ben would grow old together.
More details on the timeline of their affair and her working relationship with the couple Affleck - Garner have emerged online, and they cast Affleck in a very bad light.
Affleck slept with the nanny on vacation with his wife
One day after Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, while on vacation in the Bahamas, they released a statement announcing their decision to divorce. As far as the media knows, they’re yet to file the divorce papers, which falls in line with the official story that this is an amicable split, with neither party blaming the other for it.
However, E! Online reports, that’s not really what’s happening behind closed doors.
Sources close to the couple tell the e-zine that, while Jen and Ben had been having problems for some time and were on a trial separation, they had not yet discussed the possibility of divorce. In fact, the trip to the Bahamas was just that: a way for them to see if they could still function as a unit.
Also on the trip was the family’s nanny, Christine, hired by Jen in the spring. Garner had her suspicions about Christine since day one, says a spy, but she never imagined that the 22-year-old would sleep with her husband behind her back.
Jen found out during the same Bahamas trip of what had happened, and she let Christine go on the spot. She also called her attorney and her publicist and issued the divorce announcement.
Nanny is in love, possibly obsessed
As per the same report, Christine did her best afterwards to keep Ben, even tipping off the paparazzi to let them know where they’d be. Presumably, she was thinking this was a way to lightly blackmail him to not dump her.
“She told her friends she was completely in love with him,” dishes a tipster. “Ben told Christine things that led her to believe they were going to be fully together. Over the course of the last few months, their relationship became very real and serious to Christine.”
Another insider hints that she may have developed more than an infatuation with her former employer, and that she was maybe a bit obsessed too.
Other sources speaking with People magazine deny this part of the story but insist that she was really in love. That is to say, she may have homewrecked Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, but she did it for love.
For the record, Ben Affleck’s publicist has denied there is any truth to the nanny story.
