14 DAY TRIAL // The other day, word got out that Ben Affleck had become a walking cliché by cheating on his wife of 10 years Jennifer Garner with the nanny and continuing to see her after the formal separation as well. The actor’s publicist has issued a full denial of the story, and reports claim that he’s looking into suing.
The nanny has been identified as Christine Ouzounian and she was hired by Garner in spring. The original report said that she and Affleck became “flirty” soon after meeting and that she would later confess to friends that she was in love with him.
Garner fired her when she noticed the inappropriate nature of their relationship, but he continued seeing her.
Ben Affleck is out for blood
At the time Us Weekly published this story, the actor’s publicist had already issued a denial. A new one has been released, and it’s sterner in tone, revealing the fact that Affleck is none too happy about the story and the fact that it’s spreading like wild fire online.
“The story is complete garbage and full of lies,” the statement says. “You shouldn’t be able to hide behind ‘blind sources’ and attempt to destroy families going through a difficult time. The tabloid [Us Weekly] decided to construct stories in order to sell magazines. It’s like story time in kindergarten. It’s shameful and desperate.”
While it’s true that the source Us Weekly quoted was anonymous, the mere fact that they identified the nanny in question by name got many thinking that maybe there was a lot of truth to it.
TMZ is now saying that Affleck is considering his legal options on this and might sue the glossy for printing the damaging story.
Nanny is “in love”
While this is going on, the story continues to make the rounds, with even more publications coming out with new details.
People Magazine, i.e. the outlet that has the “exclusive” on the Garner - Affleck split straight from camp Garner, is also covering it, after speaking with “friends” of the nanny / supposed lover.
Apparently, the affair is real and yes, it did start back when Ben and Jennifer were still a couple, though admittedly going through a more difficult period. Christine showed friends photos of her and Affleck that leave no room for doubt as to the nature of their relationship: they’re kissing or she’s sitting in his lap.
She also told him that she loves him and that she got into the relationship thinking the feeling was mutual. She didn’t want to break up his family, but she really believed him when he told her that she was as special to him as he was to her.
