14 DAY TRIAL // The other day, blurry, long-lens photos of Ben Affleck and Christine Ouzounian, who had worked as nanny to his children with Jennifer Garner, emerged online and seemingly confirmed reports that Garner had filed for divorce from him because he had been having an affair.
The photos were snapped more than 2 weeks after the divorce announcement and some weeks after she’d been let go from her position. In other words, she had no obvious reason to visit him at his home in the dead of night.
Except that she had, camp Affleck is telling People Magazine.
Photos confirm affair with the nanny
The photos are available on Radar Online but have also been published in print, in this week’s issue of Us Magazine. They show Ouzounian arriving at Affleck’s home in his car and punching in the access code at the gate.
He comes out to greet her literally grinning from ear to ear. She hands him a box that reportedly contained a bottle of champagne and they walk inside. Reports from the paparazzi camped outside who took the photos (whom she reportedly tipped off so she could have leverage if Affleck ever wanted to dump her) say that she was inside for 2 hours.
Again, when this was happening, she and Affleck had no other reason to spend time together than if they were having the supposed affair: she’d been fired by Garner, Affleck’s wife, after a family trip to the Bahamas. This was a trip Jen and Ben went on to see if working on their marriage was worth it anymore, but Ben spent the time he wasn’t with Jen sleeping with the nanny.
When Garner understood what was going on, she fired Ouzounian and then had her publicist announce the divorce.
Ben Affleck wasn’t flirty, he was “friendly”
This is the story coming from camp Affleck, directly to People Magazine. Because the photos don’t show Affleck kissing the 28-year-old nanny, they’re trying to make it look as if the 2 were just friends and that’s why they kept in contact after she was let go.
“Ben's friendly, but it's not always meant to be flirty,” says a pal. “This was a very close relationship with someone who was taking care of the most important people in his life. People want to fault him for that.”
Yesterday, other sources from camp Affleck were telling the media that the photos with the nanny proved nothing except that she was his friend and had visited him to offer him a shoulder to cry on as he went through the divorce.
The most popular theory online right now is that Affleck did sleep with the nanny and did get caught, which led Garner to ask for the divorce. He continued seeing her until in mid-July, when he found out that she’d set him up for these paparazzi pics, and he told her it would be best if they just laid low for a while.
Fearing an actual breakup might come next, the nanny went with her story to the tabloids, thinking that if it was public, Ben would have no reason to not want to be with her. Obviously, the whole thing backfired on her.
