After a series of technical issues that lasted most of last week, Battlefield Hardline on the PC platform has finally received today, June 22, patch 1.03 as well as the Criminal Activity DLC for Premium users. As a token of appreciation, developer Visceral Games is giving all Premium users a free gold Battlepack.

Battlefield Hardline surprised quite a few longtime franchise fans with its cops vs. robbers take on the shooter series back in March, when it appeared across PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Since then, the studio has kept working on new patches and updates, as well as new content for fans to explore.

The latest big patch arrived last week, in the form of update 1.03 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It also allowed Battlefield Hardline Premium users to download the first big expansion, titled Criminal Activity.

PC users can finally get the patch and add-on

Unfortunately, due to various technical problems, the release of the update, as well as that of the add-on, was pushed back on the PC platform. After a few false starts, the patch is finally live today, June 22, for PC users via the Origin digital service.

The new update brings the same fixes as on the other platforms and is now live for all players and servers. Once the patch is installed, Battlefield Hardline Premium owners will also be able to download for free the Criminal Activity expansion.

According to the official forums, Visceral is adding a special token of appreciation for all PC users in the form of a free gold Battlepack. The special digital item will be added to the inventory of players on PC "in the near future," so don't be surprised if you're notified about it in the following days.

All Battlefield Hardline users who don't have the Premium add-on will be able to purchase the Criminal Activity DLC soon enough across all platforms.
