The development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts have been offering a lot of information about the Robbery downloadable content pack for Battlefield Hardline, but the two companies are now ready to deliver a new update for the base game, which will add more weapons for all players.

The Operator class will get access to a new FR Mask, which limits damage delivered by Molotov cocktails and incendiary grenades, making the character more useful during heavy combat.

The throwback carbine rifle is also being added to Battlefield Hardline, a semi-automatic gun with less range but increased damage.

A new sidearm which fires armor piercing rounds is also included in the update coming to the shooter.

A SMG is also added to all classes, with bullets that can take out solidly armored targets.

The Operator is also getting a new assault rifle, firing classic 5.567 mm ammo, effective for medium range engagements, and the Enforcer receives a new shotgun to expand his options for close quarter engagements.

The Professional receives a new sniper rifle that delivers a powerful 0.416 round and the Mechanics receive a submachine gun.

The new update for Battlefield Hardline will be launched in early September but no clear date has yet been mentioned.

Robbery is designed to add a new mode and more maps to the shooter

The new DLC is the second one of a planned package of four, and Visceral Games is trying to improve the game in a variety of ways.

The four new maps mix indoor and outdoor settings and give gamers new tactical challenges to solve, with the standout at the moment being The Docks, which features a ship that can be explored.

There are also new weapons that are exclusive to Robbery and a lot of the new content is designed to be used in the coming Squad Heist mode.

The development team will probably deliver a full list of notes for the patch that's coming to the shooter when it is launched, probably one day or so before the DLC.

Battlefield Hardline will be initially offered to those who have a Premium subscription, and the general population will be able to access the same content two weeks later.
