The development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts are acknowledging that Battlefield Hardline is at the moment affected by an issue that is causing loadouts to reset at the worst of times, although it seems that not all gamers who play the shooter are being hit.

According to an official Twitter message from the account of the series, the two companies are aware of the problem and are trying to find a way to solve it, with a fix at the moment planned for delivery with the next game update.

Players have been reporting the loadout reset issue for a while now and it's good to see that the development team understands that it is hampering the game experience for many and needs to be dealt with as soon as possible.

Visceral Games is not saying when the next base game update for Battlefield Hardline is planned for launch, and the company has not talked about other changes that it is planning to make.

Given that the shooter has just received a new Robbery downloadable content in September, the team might need some more time to gather data before it delivers a major patch.

Battlefield Hardline continues to get new content

Visceral Games and Electronic Arts are planning to deliver at least another two major pieces of DLC for the shooter, which will include a new game mode, extra maps, and a range of weapons and vehicles for both the cops and the criminals to use in battle.

The game might not be focused on the military, like the rest of the entries in the series, but it has found a solid player base that needs to receive new events and content in order to stay engaged.

Official documents revealed during an earnings call show that a new DICE-made Battlefield title is expected to arrive in 2016.

Battlefield Hardline is also set to be integrated into the EA Access service in October, which means that all those who are subscribing to the Electronic Arts driven digital distribution solution on the Xbox One can play it for free.

All downloadable content and the Season Pass will be offered as a separate purchase and download.
