A bigger one might still be coming in September

Video game developer Rocksteady and publisher Warner Bros. are announcing that they are planning to launch an interim PC-based patch for Batman: Arkham Knight at some point during the month of August, although no clear date has been mentioned yet.

The official Steam-based announcement states, "This update will address many of the issues we listed in our June 27 update. We will provide additional details as we finalize that interim patch over the coming weeks."

The fact that the patch is described as interim means that it will probably fail to deal with all the problems gamers have been reporting and have resulted in the game no longer being offered for sale on the PC.

The two companies are also thanking the player community for patience and feedback, and apparently all comments about the Batman: Arkham Knight experience are being evaluated to make sure that other patches will completely fix the title.

A full patch for the PC version is expected to arrive in September, but there's no confirmation yet about the changes that are being implemented.

The biggest issues the community has reported are linked to frame rate and stability, which have affected the majority of the player base.

The PC is also not getting DLC before a full fix arrives for Batman: Arkham Knight

The title has been well received by those playing it on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 and seems like a very solid end to the current video game story featuring the Dark Knight.

A DLC delivery featuring Batgirl has also been offered on those platforms, allowing players to get through a prologue mission that pits her against the Joker in a new environment.

It will only be launched on the PC once the core version of Batman: Arkham Knight is fully fixed and playable.

Reports have suggested that Warner Bros. knew about the issues with the game during the development process and chose to ignore them in order to launch it at the same time on all platforms.

Some fans have suggested that the problems with Batman: Arkham Knight on the PC should mean that gamers will get free DLC in the future to compensate them for their trouble.
