PC users who bought Batman: Arkham Knight for their platform on Steam are furious over the performance and stability problems encountered by the game and have resorted to submitting thousands of bad reviews and user scores on both Steam and Metacritic.

Batman: Arkham Knight launched earlier today, June 23, all around the world, across the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms. The game was eagerly awaited by millions of fans, and while the consensus is that the title is pretty good, many players, especially on PC, are furious with the current state of the game.

Lots of issues plague Batman: Arkham Knight on PC

More specifically, PC users are encountering stability problems, as the game crashes on a variety of configurations, not to mention performance issues, as the framerate dips constantly into unplayable areas.

Throw in the locked 30fps framerate, which can be overridden but then causes even more problems, and many PC gamers have started expressing their fury via reviews on Steam, as well as on Metacritic.

Right now, the Steam listing for Batman: Arkham Knight shows a "Mostly Negative" consensus. There are 1,100+ negative reviews and just 580 positive ones. Many cite the aforementioned issues, as well as the horrible performance even when using the latest graphics card drivers offered by Nvidia and AMD for their own products.

Things are looking bad everywhere

Meanwhile, on Metacritic, there are 108 total ratings and the general user score is 2.5/10. There are no professional reviews for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight as none were provided by publisher Warner Bros. for media outlets ahead of launch.

As of right now, neither Warner Bros. nor Rocksteady has commented on the poor performance of Arkham Knight on PC and it's unclear if new updates or patches may be able to improve it in the following weeks.

Until then, Steam users who bought the game via the service can ask for a refund, provided they haven't played more than two hours of the title.

UPDATE: Rocksteady confirms that it's aware of the Batman: Arkham Knight PC issues and that it's working with the studio that ported the game to resolve them.
