Batman: Arkham Knight developer Rocksteady Studios confirms that its engineers are "working like crazy" on the first update for the game's PC version and that it's also collaborating with Nvidia to ensure that the visual issues are solved as soon as possible.

Batman: Arkham Knight launched at the beginning of the week across the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms worldwide. Unfortunately, while the console versions of the game that arrived from Rocksteady Studios handled quite well on the two platforms, the PC version, which was ported by an unknown third-party studio, had all sorts of huge problems.

Rocksteady is working hard on an update for the PC version

After stopping the sale of the PC version earlier this week, the game's main developer, Rocksteady, confirms that all its best engineers are now working as hard as possible in order to release the first patch for Arkham Knight on PC.

The confirmation arrives from Rocksteady Studios’ head Sefton Hill, who also adds that he supported publisher Warner Bros. in regards to suspending the sales of the PC version until it's actually an enjoyable experience.

Nvidia is also working to help Rocksteady

What's more, graphics card company Nvidia, which worked alongside Rocksteady and its PC team to implement special GameWorks features inside Arkham Knight, also mentions that it's helping the studio develop the upcoming patch.

"We are working with WB Games and the development teams to address the performance issues of the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. We have made our QA and engineering resources available and will provide updates when they are available," an Nvidia spokesperson told Eurogamer.

As such, while Batman: Arkham Knight is still borderline unplayable on PC, those who still haven't asked for a refund via Steam or are still confident in Rocksteady can rest assured that a patch will appear as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, a release estimate can't be given right now.
