Based on the anime and manga series with the same name

Black Clover: Quartet Knights is one of the new projects Bandai Namco revealed at a press event last week. Not many details are available about the game, but we've been shown a trailer and, of course, we know it's based on the Black Clover anime and manga series.

The game isn't playable yet, but we have a brand new trailer and some screenshots to give you an idea of what's to come. Also, we've been provided with some information about Black Clover: Quartet Knights to support the trailer and images.

First of all, Black Clover: Quartet Knights is some kind of third-person magic shooter with RPG elements. Basically, it's a fighting game with weapons and magic, as players will be able to team up with three other friends and challenge opponents in arena style matches.

There will be three specializations present in the game: damage dealers, support and defensive. Teams will probably need to have at least one defensive and one support characters, while the other two spots will probably be taken by DPSes (damage dealers).

We're not yet sure if there will be a story mode as well, but if you watched the anime or the manga series, you should know all about the characters appearing in the game. Here is a short description of the game:

Humanity once came close to being decimated by demons. It was just one mage who saved humankind, known thereafter as the Wizard King and regarded as a legend. For generations, the Wizard King has protected the people of this magical world. Based on the hit manga and anime series, prepare for a new legend to enter the fray in Black Clover: Quartet Knights!

Although Black Clover fans might have expected some sort of “open-world” type of game rather than a fighting game based on their favorite manga series, it's great that someone thought about making a game out of the Black Clover franchise in the first place.

Black Clover: Quartet Knights will be launched on PlayStation 4 and PC sometime in 2018. An ETA hasn't been announced yet, but we'll probably learn more about the game in the coming months.
