The update solves an issue with the Ad library packaging

Samsung has already confirmed plans to merge its proprietary bada mobile platform with Tizen operating system. Even though the latter has yet to be officially introduced on the market, Samsung seems to have high hopes for Tizen if it is willing to drop its own OS.

However, until the merger goes official, Samsung keeps offering support to bada developers. In this regard, the Korean handset manufacturer has just announced a new update is available for bada SDK.

bada SDK 2.0.4 has just been released but does not add too many new things, instead correcting an issue with the Ad library packaging. In addition, the application packages with the Ad library can now be run by TestKit and it is possible to register them in the Samsung Apps Seller Office.

The latest bada SDK 2.0.4 is now available as a free download from Softpedia or bada’s official site, but requires a Samsung account.
