14 DAY TRIAL // Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger’s marriage did not last, but they’re determined to continue the working relationship they started before they became romantically involved. So, one month after announcing their decision to divorce, they’re back in the recording studio together.
Avril has been keeping very busy as of late with raising awareness for Lyme Disease, which she contracted herself last year and is still recovering from, but she’s also thinking ahead by starting work on new material.
Apparently, Chad is right there for the ride. You can see Avril’s most recent tweets and Instagram posts below, in which she teases her fans about getting “back where it all started,” i.e. in the studio with her soon-to-be-ex-husband.
The two met and fell in love while working on new music together, so this is why she’s saying she’s going “back” to the point of origin.
The Canadian singer’s most recent tweet speaks of her bond with Chad and how they will remain good friends who love each other even though they will not be a married couple anymore.
Avril and Chad’s romance was of the whirlwind type: they met in the spring of 2012, got engaged in the summer of that same year and married one year later, in a ceremony held at the Chateau La Napoule in Mandelieu, France. Always a true punk-rock princess, Avril also wore a black wedding gown.
