14 DAY TRIAL // We reported yesterday that Asus India confirmed the launch of Zenfone Max for January 4. True to its promise, the company officially introduced the smartphone in India where customers will be able to pre-order it via Flipkart or Amazon India.
Customers hunting for a good deal on Android smartphones might want to know that Asus Zenfone Max will start selling on January 15 for just Rs 9,999 outright, which is about $150 or €140. The Zenfone Max will be available in both Ceramic and Pure Black variants.
The most interesting feature included in the Zenfone Max is the massive 5,000 mAh battery, which should provide users with many days of continuous usage.
The 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, Real Tone flash and video recording is another strong point of the smartphone.
Decent specs aside from CPU
On the inside, Asus Zenfone Max comes equipped with a disappointing 1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, coupled with an Adreno 306 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
Also, the smartphone packs 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
The Zenfone Max sports a larger 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating. It comes with both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support.
Last but not least, Asus Zenfone Max ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Zen UI 2.0.
