ASUS has unveiled its highly anticipated ZenFone 4 Max smartphone in Russia and revealed the rumored hardware specifications of the device, which ships with a massive 5000 mAh battery.

Designed for people who have a mobile lifestyle, ASUS ZenFone 4 Max (ZC554KL) offers them a battery that should allow them to actively use the smartphone all day long, especially for Internet and gaming. It also comes with dual rear cameras to capture all those memorable moments that occur during the day.

While one of the cameras comes with a wide-angle (120 °) lens, making it more suitable for landscape and group photos, the other one has a large f/2.0 aperture for low-light photography and 13MP resolution. The camera software is engineered to automatically switch between the two cameras on the back of the device.

"The wide-angle camera ZenFone 4 Max has a 120-degree field of view, which is twice the capacity of standard smartphone cameras. Thus, the frame is placed more space and objects, and this contributes to obtaining colorful landscape photographs. Such a camera is useful when shooting in a close room," says ASUS.

The front camera, which is popularly called the selfie camera, is also something to brag about. It has a sensor with an 8MP resolution, a 140 ° angle for self-panorama, and a LED flash that will help you capture the perfect selfies with soft, diffuse lighting. On top of that, the build-in camera software can remove skin defects.

Intelligent power management, powered by Android 7.0 (Nougat)

The non-removable 5,000mAh battery of the smartphone is accompanied by an intelligent power management software called PowerMaster, which can increase the battery life over time. It offers a so-called double life function that can endure up to 500 cycles of full discharge and even allow you to charge other devices.

Under the hood, ASUS ZenFone 4 Max sports a Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor, an Adreno 505 GPU, 4 GB RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n wireless with Wi-Fi Direct and Hotspot, Bluetooth LE 4.1, FM radio, built-in GPS with GLONASS, A-GPS, and BDS, and USB On-The-Go (OTG).

It gorgeous metal case has a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, but the device also features accelerometer, compass, proximity, and gyro sensors. The 5.5-inch full HD (1080x1920 resolution with approximately 401 PPI pixel density) display supports multitouch up to 10 fingers, and it's protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Software wise, ASUS ZenFone 4 Max is powered by Google's Android 7.0 (Nougat) mobile operating system but uses ASUS' ZenUI 4.0 interface. The dual SIM device is currently available for purchase in Russia, it comes in 32GB and 64GB variants with Titanium Gray, Sand Gold and Rose Pink colors, and it costs RUB 13,900 (~$230 USD).
