Asus announced a bunch of Zenfone smartphones. In fact, there are so many Zenfone 2 handsets released on the market that you need the model number to figure it out which version Asus is talking about.

For example, there are Zenfone 2 Laser versions available or soon to be available on the market, each with its own specs list. One of the few that hasn't been released yet, the Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) has just been launched in India.

According to a new report, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) is now exclusively available for purchase via Flipkart for Rs 17,999 ($270 / €250) outright.

The main difference between Asus Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) and other models in the same family is the huge 6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.

Apart from that, this version of Zenfone 2 Laser packs above-average specs such as 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

It's available in Glacier Gray, Sheer Gold, and Glamour Red colors

Customers in India will be pleased to know that they will be able to purchase the 32GB model, which, as mentioned earlier, comes with 3GB RAM inside.

Asus also announced a 2GB RAM version with 16GB internal memory, but it's unclear when and where it will go on sale.

Furthermore, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) packs a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with laser autofocus, dual-LED (dual-tone) flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. There's also a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front.

The 6-inch Zenfone 2 Laser is powered by a decent 3,000 mAh battery and offers both dual-SIM and 4G LTE support. It also runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but a Marshmallow upgrade has already been confirmed for the next year.
