Asus released the Zenfone 2 in India a few months ago, but the Taiwanese company plans to bring even more smartphones in the country.

During its ZenFestival event in India that's been confirmed for August 6, the handset maker will introduce no less than 3 new smartphones: Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Zenfone Selfie and Zenfone 2 Laser.

All three will be introduced next week, but details on their availability and pricing options have yet to be announced, a new report claims.

However, we do know quite a lot about their specs thanks to a preview event where Asus unveiled these smartphones to a limited number of journalists.

But let's start with the first smartphone to be officially introduced in India on August 6, the Zenfone 2 Deluxe.

The smartphone is described by Asus as a “Crystal miracle” and comes with at a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the inside, the smartphone is packed with a 64-bit octa-core Intel Z3580 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

On the back, there's a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Connectivity-wise, the Zenfone 2 Deluxe offers both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS. The smartphone is powered by a more than decent 3,000 mAh battery.

The camera-centric Zenfone Selfie comes with 13MP dual cameras

Next in line, Zenfone Selfie is aimed at those who prefer camera phones. It boasts an impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with high-sensitivity BSI sensor, 5-piece Largan Wide FOV 75'' lens, dual-color (Cool White + Warm light) LED flash and laser autofocus.

In the front, the smartphone packs a similar 13-megapixel photo snapper with dual-LED flash. But there are other decent specs included in Zenfone Selfie.

For example, the samrtphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and either 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

The 2GB RAM version of Asus Zenfone Selfie packs 16GB of internal memory, while the 3GB RAM model has 32GB of storage. Both models come with microSD card slot support for memory expansion.

Other highlights of the Zenfone Selfie include 4G LTE, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, GPS with AGPS and 3,000 mAh battery.

Last but not least, Asus Zenfone Selfie sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

The Zenfone 2 Laser might be the cheapest

The third Asus smartphone to be announced next week is called Zenfone 2 Laser and features the same 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with high-sensitivity BSI sensor, 5-piece Largan Wide FOV 75'' lens, dual-color (Cool White + Warm light) LED flash and laser autofocus, that's also included in the Zenfone Selfie.

However, the smartphone packs only a 5-megapixel selfie camera in the front. It also comes with a smaller 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating for extra protection.

On the inside, the Zenfone 2 Laser is equipped with a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM and either 8GB or 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Asus' Zenfone 2 Laser will offer both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, and GPS with AGPS.

The 8GB version of Zenfone 2 Laser will be powered by a 2,070 mAh battery, while the 16GB variant will drain energy from a slightly bigger 2,400 mAh battery.

All three Asus Zenfone smartphones will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with ZenUI.
