14 DAY TRIAL // In the past few months, ASUS has been launching smartphone after smartphone, all from the Zenfone family. The most recent we have seen arrive into the wild is the Zenfone Selfie, a smartphone that focuses on delivering a great photographic experience.
Well, it appears that ASUS is planning to unveil more phones in the near future. The Russian website Mobile Telefon has stumbled upon information revealing that a new entry-level model dubbed the ZenFone Go is in the pipeline.
We’re also treated to the specs and an image of the upcoming device, which shows that the phone will be made available in various pastel coloring options.
The ASUS Zenfone Go caters to less-demanding users
Anyway, as we’ve told you above, the phone is an entry-level affair, so don’t expect any high-end specifications here. The Zenfone Go arrives with a 5-inch display with an average 720 x 1280 pixel resolution.
Under the hood lies a MediaTek MT6582 SoC processor that comes with a quad-core CPU and Mali-400 MP2 GPU. ASUS is also throwing in 2GB of RAM and just 8GB of internal storage.
In the imaging department, we find that the phone will make use of an 8MP frontal camera in combination with a 2MP selfie shooter.
Last but not least, we’re told that the ASUS Zenfone Go has support for 3G connectivity (sorry, folks, no 4G LTE here) and should be getting unveiled towards the end of this month. No word on pricing specifications just yet, but we expect it to be pretty affordable.

That being said, if you want something with better specs that won’t break your piggy bank, you should turn your attention towards the Zenfone Selfie instead.
The phone takes advantage of a larger 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 1080p and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating. On the inside, ASUS has opted to go with the Snapdragon 615 while adding either 2GB or 4GB of RAM, depending on model. The same goes for the amount of built-in storage, which might be 16GB, 32GB or 64GB.
We should also mention that the Zenfone Selfie packs a 13MP camera on the back with dual-tone flash, laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and full HD (1080p) video recording. On top of that, the 13MP camera in the front has dual-tone flash also, f/2.2 aperture, 88-degree field of view, and full HD (1080p) video recording.
