Both distribution have been upgraded at the same time

Manjaro is an operating system based on Arch Linux, and it comes in lots of flavors. Two very similar ones have been grouped under the name of Manjaro LX, and a new upgrade has been released for it.

The developers have chosen to call this release LX because it's actually about two versions of Manjaro, one with the LXDE desktop and the other one with LXQt. It will be a while until LXQt takes the place of LXDE, and both projects are still maintained. This is why we see a distribution like Manjaro sporting two versions. They seem similar, but that's not the case. In fact, LXQt is still having a hard time convincing people to adopt it, but that's probably changing.

The Manjaro developers have started to upgrade all of their flavors to the latest 0.18.3.1 versions, but there are still a few left. This is a project worked on by the community and it will take a while to complete, but fortunately, it will be done before the next 0.19 version is released.

Manjaro LX 0.8.13.1 is ready for download

Manjaro LXDE is now based on the Linux kernel 4.1.x branch (more kernels are available in the official repos), the Google DNS is now used by default, droid fonts, shadow icons, and the mediteraneannightlight theme have been added, Abiword and qpdfview are now provided by default, and full AUR support has been implemented.

On the other hand, in the Manjaro LXQt distro, lxterminal has replaced qterminal, network-manager-applet-gtk2 has been replaced by network-manager-applet (if needed, install ‘gnome-keyring’), cantata and mpd have been removed, and xarchiver has been replaced by xarchiver-gtk2. Users will find an assortment of apps ready in Manjaro LXQt, like leafpad, octopi, redshift, Gparted, and many others.

You can download Manjaro LXDE 0.8.13.1 and Manjaro LXQt 0.8.13.1 right now from Softpedia.
