Today, October 27, 2016, Apple held a special event at its campus in Cupertino where the company unveiled two new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models, as well as an entry-level MacBook Pro to replace the current MacBook Air model.

Today's event was short compared to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus conference that took place on September 7, and Apple only announced a new TV app for Apple TV, iPad, and iPod touch devices, making our lives easier when we watch TV shows and movies while trying to keep up with other things in life, and a bunch of new MacBook Pro computers.

We all know that the Mac experience just keeps getting better and better, especially thanks to the new macOS Sierra operating system, but now that 25 years have passed since Apple first announced a laptop computer, it's time to revolutionize things again. As such, the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models are shipping with Touch Bar and Touch ID.

“This week marks the 25th anniversary of Apple’s first notebook,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “With the groundbreaking new Touch Bar, the convenience of Touch ID, the best Mac display ever, powerful performance, improved audio, blazing fast storage and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity in our thinnest and lightest pro notebook yet, the new MacBook Pro is the most advanced notebook ever made.”

The multi-touch Retina-quality Touch Bar technology introduced in the new MacBook Pro models is here to replace the traditional row of function keys, and Touch ID support is integrated for the first time in a MacBook computer, allowing for fast user switching, instant purchases, and better security for your Mac. As expected, the new MacBook Pro models are thinner, faster, and smaller than previous versions.

The new MacBook Pro computers also offer much larger Force Touch trackpads, a revamped keyboard with 2nd-generation butterfly mechanism for more comfortable and responsive typing, blazing-fast SSDs, powerful sixth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with eDRAM, as well as quad-core Core i7 Intel processors, louder speakers, and up to 10 hours of battery life.

Of course, all new MacBook Pro models ship with the latest macOS Sierra operating system pre-installed, with features like Siri integration, Apple Pay support, Universal Clipboard,  and much more. The 13-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1,499 (US), the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and Touch ID starts at $1,799 (US), and the 15-inch MacBook Pro starts at $2,399 (US).
