Apple just launched the new Apple Watch Series 4, their new smartwatch generation, in addition to the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the more affordable iPhone XR.

The new-generation Apple Watch is powered by Apple's watchOS 5, which will launch on September 19 for all other existing models as well.

Cupertino's new-generation smartwatch features several notable upgrades such as slimmer design, smaller bezels and improved screen estate with a 30% larger display, and a microphone moved to the other side of the device for better Siri interaction and improved voice calls.

The Apple Watch Series 4 also adds a digital face which shows up to 30 percent more information than previous models, the watch being able to detect low heart rates and irregular heart rhythm suggestive of atrial fibrillation, together with accidental falls in order to make call emergencies when needed.

Apple Watch Series 4 comes with a new S4 dual-core 64-bit CPU, designed to deliver users with up to 2x faster performance, as well as a digital crown with haptic feedback while scrolling and speaker have also both been re-engineered for better performance.

Cellular and LTE priced at $499 and $399 respectively

Using the new Apple Watch you can also take electrocardiograms (ECG) using the devices' electrical heart sensor built into the unit.

More importantly, the electrocardiograms you can record using Apple Watch Series 4 are stored within the Health app in PDF format ready to be printed and shared with your doctor.

Apple also includes the same battery time as previous Apple Watch versions, a welcomed addition seeing that the improved sensors within the watch's body require a lot more power to work.

Of course, all the watch bands you previously bought previously will still work with the new Apple Watch Series 4 as Apple makes sure after each release that their all compatible so that the industry created for this exact purpose can tick away undisturbed.

Apple Watch Series 4 is priced at $399 without cellular and rises to $499 for LTE version.

The Apple Watch Series 4 will go up on pre-order on the US and European markets on September 15, and it will begin shipping to customers a week later on September 22 after pre-orders have piled up.
