It's official! Apple has sent invitations to various news outlets in the US to its upcoming fall event on September 7, as initial rumored, where the Cupertino company should unveil a bunch of new operating systems and devices.

It is no secret that Apple has been working for some time on updated versions of its iOS, Mac OS, tvOS, and watchOS operating systems for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, iMacs, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, Apple Watch, and Apple TV devices, respectively. All of these upcoming OSes have received up to eight Beta developments builds that have been seeded since early summer 2016 to registered developers and public beta testers alike.

Apple had already announced the new features that will land in the final releases of iOS 10, macOS 10.12 Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10 operating systems in about a week from the moment of writing this article, during its WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) 2016 event that took place in June. That's why there shouldn't be any surprises except for the official release date, as some rumors now say we'll get these updates at the end of September, and not on September 7, as expected.

iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2 to launch on September 7

With Apple, we never really know what to expect from its upcoming events, but based on their history, the Cupertino company should introduce a bunch of new devices, which include a new iPhone and Apple Watch. Word is that these new devices will be called iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, as well as Apple Watch 2. The specs of the former have already been leaked online this week, and if we are to believe them, there won't be any major changes.

Of course, these devices will be available for pre-order shortly after the September 7 announcement, coming to select countries before the end of September, and to the rest of the world later this fall. What else could Apple announce during its forthcoming September 7 event? That we can't tell for sure, but we do know that the "See you on the 7th" event will take place at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, at 10:00 a.m..
