Today, April 18, 2016, Apple has informed the media about the official dates and program for its five-day 27th annual WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) event, which will take place this summer, between June 13 and June 17.

WWDC 2016 will be held in San Francisco, USA, at Moscone West, and it promises to gather together the entire developer community of Apple, where they'll learn everything there is to know about the future of the iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS operating systems.

The conference kicks off on Monday, June 13, 2016, with the usual keynote, and it'll be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Then, the rest of the event will move to Moscone West, where Apple will stream it live worldwide. An official page for WWDC 2016 is now live with some hints of what's coming, if you can decipher them, that is.

"With four innovative operating systems and a new, intuitive programming language powering over 1 billion devices worldwide, there has never been a more exciting time to bring our developer community together," said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

WWDC 2016 highlights

Worldwide Developers Conference is Apple's main event for aspiring and renowned application developers who want to brush up on their skills and stay up to date with the upcoming features that are about to be implemented in the iOS, as well as Mac OS X, watchOS, and tvOS operating systems.

Highlights of WWDC 2016 include 150 hands-on labs, instant access to the latest iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS innovations, various get-together sessions, inspirational lunchtime sessions, and the well-known Apple Design Awards, which will be presented to devs whose apps are the most innovative and have a gorgeous design.

You can now apply for tickets to attend the Worldwide Developers Conference 2016 event between June 13 and 17, but hurry up because it will only last until Friday, April 22, at 10:00 a.m. PDT (5:00 p.m. GMT). It is also possible to watch the sessions remotely using the WWDC app.
