Just a few minutes ago, Apple seeded the third Developer Beta of its upcoming iOS 10.1 mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, tvOS 10.0.1 operating system for Apple TV devices, and Xcode 8.1 IDE (Integrated Developer Environment).

Tagged as build 14B71 of iOS 10.1 Beta 3, build 14U69 for tvOS 10.0.1 Beta 3, and build 8T47 for Xcode 8.1 Beta 3, the new Beta milestones are now available for you to download on your registered devices through your Apple Developer account if you are an application developer creating apps for iOS or tvOS.

As usual, the new Beta of iOS 10.1 is available for the same supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices that work with iOS 10.0, and tvOS 10.0.1 Beta 3 must be installed on a 4th generation Apple TV, as the 3rd generation Apple TV devices and earlier models are no longer supported.

To deploy these Beta builds, you'll need to install the configuration profile directly on your device. After that, you'll receive OTA updates for the following Betas. Please note that Xcode 8.1 beta 3 includes the SDKs for iOS 10.1 Beta, tvOS 10.0.1 Beta, macOS 10.12.1 Sierra Beta, and watchOS 3.1 Beta, and requires OS X 10.11.5 or later.

New Public Betas coming soon

As expected, 24 hours after announcing new Developer Beta builds for its upcoming iOS 10.1 and tvOS 10.0.1 operating systems, Apple also seeds new Public Beta versions for the rest of the world to install and send feedback about any issues they might discover. However, we don't recommend installing them if you're looking for a stable experience.

If you decide to jump into the Beta bandwagon, we strongly recommend reading our in-depth "Here's How to Install iOS 10 Public Beta on Your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch" and "Here's How to Install macOS Sierra 10.12 Public Beta on Your Mac Right Now" tutorial for all the technical details on how to install the Public Betas of iOS and macOS.

Update: Apple seeded the Public Beta 3 of iOS 10.1 for supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Therefore, if you want to install it, you'll need to use the turorial mentioned above. We remind you that the iOS 10.1 point release introduces Portrait camera support for the new iPhone 7 Plus smartphones.
