After releasing yesterday the second beta builds of its upcoming iOS 11.4, tvOS 11.4, and watchOS 4.3.1 operating systems, Apple today seeded the second macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta to registered application developers.

The macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta 2 (17B45c) comes two weeks after the release of the first beta on April 4, and it can be installed right now from the Updates pane in the Mac App Store or you can run the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility from the downloads section on your Apple Developer account to download the latest beta.

As expected, the macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta 2 includes SDK (Software Development Kit) support for those who plan on developing macOS apps for Mac computer running macOS High Sierra 10.13.5. The macOS 10.13.5 SDK comes bundled with the latest Xcode 9.4 beta IDE (Integrated Development Environment).

According to Apple, macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta 2 is supported on MacBook Late 2009 or newer, MacBook Air Late 2010 or newer, MacBook Pro Mid 2010 or newer, Mac mini Mid 2010 or newer, iMac Late 2010 or newer, iMac Pro 2017, and Mac Pro Mid 2010 or newer computers.

What's new in macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta 2

From the release notes published by Apple on the Apple Developer account, it would appear that the second macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta focuses only on bug fixes as it addresses an issue where iMac Pro users couldn't install the latest macOS 10.13.5 beta unless they're running the macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 release.

Other than that, the 32-bit app deprecation continues in the background and Apple reminds application developers to test their apps for 64-bit compatibility against the new 64-bit testing mode. A public beta version of macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta 2 should be available for public beta testing in the next few hours too.

As mentioned before, a second public beta version of the macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta 2 release should be available for public beta testing within the next few hours. Apple also released today the second iOS 11.4 and tvOS 11.4 public betas for public beta testers.

Update 18/04/18: Apple released the second public beta of macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 today for public beta testers. If you plan on installing it on your Mac, make sure you enrol it on the Apple Beta Software Program and follow the instruction we provide on this tutorial.
