Last week, on September 21, we reported that Apple announced it was working on the first point releases of the recently unveiled macOS Sierra 10.12, iOS 10, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10 operating systems.

At that moment in time, both developer and public beta builds have been released for registered developers with a paid Apple Developer account and regular users who want to get an early taste of what's coming to iOS 10.1, macOS 10.12.1 Sierra, tvOS 10.0.1, and watchOS 3.1.

And today, just a few minutes ago, the Cupertino company published the second Beta build of the macOS Sierra 10.12.1 operating system for MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, and Mac Mini computers. It is currently available to install only for registered developers, who can find the new Beta in their Apple Developer account.

macOS Sierra 10.12.1 Public Beta 2 also available

macOS Sierra 10.12.1 Beta 2 was tagged by Apple as build 16B2333a, and it should be live on your Apple Developer account. As usual, it contains various bug fixes and improvements to enhance the compatibility, security, and stability of your Mac. A Public Beta 2 build is also available to everyone else.

We've already told you how to jump into the macOS Sierra 10.12.1 Public Beta bandwagon and install it on your Mac or update your macOS 10.12 Sierra installation, but we would like to remind you once again that these are pre-release versions that might not be as stable as you would expect.

As for those who are still running Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan, make sure that you upgrade your Mac to macOS Sierra as soon as possible, and you'll enjoy a whole lot of goodies, including Siri for Mac, Apple Pay support, Apple Watch unlock support, Picture in Picture (PIP) support, and many other new and exciting features.
