Apple seeded today the second beta development releases of its upcoming iOS 11.2, tvOS 11.2, and watchOS 4.2 operating systems to registered developers.

Coming one week after the release of the first betas, today's iOS 11.2 Beta 2, macOS 10.13.2 High Sierra, tvOS 11.2 Beta 2, and watchOS 4.2 Beta 2 updates bring another layer of performance improvements and bug fixes, all in order to enhance the usability and reliability of your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch devices.

Today's betas have been tagged as build 15C5097d for iOS 11.2 Beta 2, build 17C67b for macOS 10.13.2 High Sierra, build 15K5090c for tvOS 11.2 Beta 2, and build 15S5090c for watchOS 4.2 Beta 2, and you can download them all on your registered devices from the Downloads page in your Apple Developer account, where you'll find the release notes, which contain information on the known issues.

Developers are urged to install these new beta versions as soon as possible and report any bugs they may encounter during their testing sessions to Apple. The Beta 2 builds can also be installed directly on any iOS, tvOS, or watchOS device via OTA (Over-the-Air) updates (Settings -> General -> Software Updates). Xcode 9.2 Beta 2 is available to download as well from your Apple Developer account.

Second Public Beta builds coming soon

The second public beta updates of the upcoming iOS 11.2, macOS High Sierra 10.13.2, and tvOS 11.2 operating systems should be available in the next 24 hours from the moment of writing this article for those who want to update from last week's first public beta release or no longer wish to use the latest iOS 11.1, macOS 10.13.1 High Sierra, and tvOS 11.1 stable software update on their devices.

If you plan on updating to a beta software, you must keep in mind that these are pre-release versions and aren't suitable for use in any production environment. Also, please make a recent backup of your most important files before jumping on the public beta bandwagon for iOS, macOS, and tvOS.
