We reported the other day that Apple released the first Beta builds of the next maintenance updates of its recently released iOS 10, macOS Sierra 10.12, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10 operating systems to registered developers.

That's right, Apple never sleeps and it always brings improvements to its mobile and computer operating systems for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Mini, Apple Watch, and Apple TV devices, respectively, and the upcoming versions are iOS 10.1, macOS 10.12.1 Sierra, watchOS 3.1, and tvOS 10.0.1.

As expected, the Public Beta versions are being released approximately 24 hours after Apple seeds the Developer Beta builds to those who have a registered and paid Apple Developer account, which means that anyone can now install iOS 10.1 Beta 1, macOS Sierra 10.12.1 Beta 1, watchOS 3.1 Beta 1, or tvOS 10.0.1 Beta 1 on their devices.

Here's how to jump on the iOS or macOS Public Beta bandwagon

First and foremost, we have to warn you that you should not install Beta versions on your devices if you want to have a stable experience. However, considering that these are simply maintenance releases that only fix bugs and add security patches, they might come in handy to everyday users. Anyway, make a backup first!

So, if you want to install the iOS 10.1 Beta 1 release (watchOS 3.1 Beta 1 depends on this version if you want to install it on your Apple Watch), access the  https://beta.apple.com/profile website on your device, sign in with your Apple ID, click on the "enroll your iOS device" link under the "Get Started" section, and press the "Download profile" button.

After that, press the "Install" button in the upper right corner of the screen to install the Apple Beta Software profile and reboot your device when asked. When the device powers up, open the Settings app, go to the General section and click on Software Updates. You should now see the iOS 10.1 Beta 1 update, so install it.

In the same manner, if you want to install macOS Sierra 10.12.1 Beta 1 and later builds, visit the Apple Beta Software Program website, sign in with your Apple ID, enroll your Mac by clicking on the "enroll your Mac" link in the "Getting Started" section, and redeem the unique code that you'll receive on your Mac computer.

You can also click the automatically generated link to redeem the code via the Mac App Store app, where you'll be able to install the macOS Sierra 10.12.1 Public Beta 1 update by accessing the Updates tab after redeeming the code. As usual, make sure that you've made a backup of your most important files before installing a Beta version.
