Apple released today the fourth betas of its upcoming iOS 11.3, macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, and tvOS 11.3 operating systems to registered developers with a paid and active Apple Developer account.

The iOS 11.3 beta 4 (15E5201e), macOS 10.13.4 High Sierra beta 4 (17E170c), and tvOS 11.3 beta 4 (15L5198d) builds are here just a week after the third betas, and they are available as we speak for installation on your enrolled devices running a previous beta version.

They come along with the Xcode 9.3 beta 4 IDE (Integrated Development Environment), which includes the latest beta iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS SDKs (Software Development Kits) for building and designing apps for Apple's operating systems.

If you're new to iOS 11.3, macOS 10.13.4, and tvOS 11.3 beta program, you'll need to first download the beta profiles for the respective operating system from the Downloads section on your Apple Developer account page.

The fourth Public beta builds of iOS 11.3, macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, and tvOS 11.3 should be available to public beta testers in the next 24 hours from the moment of writing. We'll update this story or write a new one when Apple will release them.

What's new in iOS 11.3, macOS 10.13.4, and tvOS 11.3 beta 4

As for the new features and improvements implemented in these new beta releases, it looks like Apple added better detection of devices running iOS 11.3 beta 4 and later by a computer, support for iPod touch 6th generation, and better Skype support in iOS.

iOS 11.3 beta 4 also changes the default video capture format for ARKit to Full HD 1080p, along with a bunch of other ARKit improvements targeted at developers, and proper syncing of Health Record accounts and data to the Health app in iCloud.

The iBooks app is now more reliable when opening managed books, the Maps apps was updated to no longer crash when tapping on the "Destinations" UI when connected to CarPlay, and it looks like threads in the Messages app should no longer be delayed when opened.

macOS 10.13.4 beta 4 fixes numerous issues too, including a bug that caused system shutdowns during macOS 10.13.4 High Sierra installations, a "Cannot Connect to the Store" error for the Mac App Store and iBooks app, and setting of services order in the Network Preferences pane.

Apple also added support for macOS Recovery over Wi-Fi on iMac Pro computers running macOS 10.13.4 beta 3 or later, fixed two Safari bugs, one that may have caused the browser to stall during video streaming and the other one interfearing with URL dragging from the address bar to Finder.

The fourth macOS 10.13.4 beta also improves the Mac App Store to correctly display the password field during authentication and no longer crash after agreeing to the updated Terms & Conditions. Last but not least, the Weather widget was updated to no longer foget added cities when you're now signed into iCloud.

Update: Apple was quick to release the Public beta 4 builds of iOS 11.3, macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, and tvOS 11.3 just four hours after it seeded the Developer beta 4 to registered developers.
